Masterchef was back complete with our very own Richard Gunner in the top 50 although was nowhere to be seen on tonight's BBQ challenge episode. A couple of recipes from tonight's show are Adele's BBQ Lamb Shoulder and Claire's Chicken with Asian Salad
Maeve O'Meara and Guy Grossi further explored how Italian cuisine has been fully embraced in Australia. Tonight they showcase the iconic dish Osso Buco (includes video link)with a recipe from Nino Zoccali
Indian was the theme of tonight's episode with Ragini Dey from the Spice Kitchen appearing with Poh to cook up some Indian treats including Chicken and Pistachio Korma and Lamb, Chickpea and Plum Korma
Poh guest chef was once again Neil Perry who has Sydney's famous Spice Temple amongst his stable of 4 excellent restaurants and this time Neil cooked up a great looking chicken dish Three Shot Chicken
The Grand Finale saw Veronica and Shadi from Qld battle Clint and Noah from Victoria. The boys did their best with a great Duck a L'Orange with Red Cabbage recipe but at the end of the day the Queenslanders took the title
Maeve O'Meara and Guy Grossi feature italian cuisine from Umbria in this weeks edition of Food Safari. A special dish normally served at special occasions like weddings is this Stuffed Roast Duck (inc Video Link)
Both teams in the semi final were from Qld and sisters Tanja and Jen cooked up Limoncello Chicken with zucchini spaghetti while eventual semi final winner Veronica and Shadi made Sicilian Pork and fennel sausages. We are sure that using some Feast! award winning sausages would make YOUR kitchen rule
The only meat dish cooked tonight was SA's Mel and Paul with a Pepperberry Kangaroo with Strawberry sauce that was panned by the judges. Perhaps in YOUR kitchen you can tweak the recipe a little to make it a winner - perhaps a nice dollop of maggie beer's Cabernet sauce instead of the strawberry might be a start??
This was the first of the semi finals with Mossy and Gabe from NSW vs the girls from WA. Mossy and Gabe plated a Masterstock Pork Belly for entree and a Chicken Thigh wrapped in Prosciutto as their main. They won on the night so you too might want to try these winning recipe.
Tonight was all meat and 3 veg and the meat in question was lamb. At Feast! Fine Foods we have Australia's best range of premium lamb. Poh's guest was Neil Perry from the Rockpool group (who are big fans of our very own Maylands Farm lamb) who cooked up a storm with some twice cooked salt pork. Using our wonderful Free Range Berkshire Pork we are sure that you will have a "Masterchef moment" at home Neil Perry's Twice Cooked Salt pork
Matt and Melissa from South Oz had mixed success with this rabbit dish. Perhaps a more generous splash of the gravy could make all the difference in "your" kitchen. Hunters Rabbit with Roasted Vegetables
